Before fitness,

there was fire.

Gavin started working in kitchens at sixteen. Long nights, hard graft, and a hunger to master the craft. He climbed fast, eventually earning his place in five-star hotel kitchens where precision was non-negotiable and standards left no room for excuses.

Food was more than a job. It was identity, ambition, and escape all rolled into one. But as the pressure built, so did his weight. The pace was unsustainable, his habits were even worse. He was feeding others while running on empty himself.

Those early years taught him about service, care, and focus. But they also taught him what it means to lose your balance and why getting it back changes everything.

The turning point: Dubai

Gavin hung up his jacket and applied his love for good food to launch Pura, a performance-focused meal prep business feeding thousands.

But behind the scenes, he was working on something far more important: himself.

No hacks. No fad diets. Just small changes, tested over time. He trained consistently, changed how he ate, and watched his health shift. His focus was not a six-pack, but a search for strength, energy, and a life that felt better every day.

The system he built wasn’t about extremes. It was about finding a rhythm he could keep and actually enjoy.

"It’s not about cutting everything out. It’s about learning what to keep, what to shift — and letting the good stuff stay."

Jungle Gym Gavin

“The Little Gym” — a tiny sanctuary tucked away in the Sai Kung jungle, built by Gavin to keep the fire burning when COVID shut Hong Kong down time and time again.

The Sai Kung bootcamp

When Gavin landed in Hong Kong, he started simple: mats on the grass, a few committed faces, and a method that got results. Word spread. Fast. His bootcamps became one of Sai Kung’s most talked-about wellness communities — not because they were the toughest, but because people felt good coming back.

Discipline tastes better when it’s shared

Coach&Cook is more than a gym. It’s the natural outcome of everything Gavin lived — kitchens that demanded precision, a meal prep company that showed the power of structure, and a bootcamp community that proved people thrive when they show up for each other.

The method didn’t come from a textbook. It came from trial, error, and years of doing the work — not to chase some image, but to build something sustainable. Real strength. Real food. Real habits. And a community that holds the whole thing together.

Coach&Cook is what happens when a cook becomes a coach. It's when wellness becomes a way of life — built around movement, meals, and people you want to spend time with. There’s a rhythm here. One that doesn’t ask for perfection, but rewards consistency. One that makes you feel stronger, clearer, and more at ease in your own skin.

Because when wellness is shared, it sticks. And when discipline feels like hospitality, you come back for more.
